Meet Our Founder & CEO
Francisco “Tayy” Perez is the founder of DegreeDash — a veteran, father, and life coach who believes nobody should have to spend four years proving what they already know.
Raised on the belief that hard work should mean something, Tayy built DegreeDash out of frustration with a system that made college feel impossible for people already doing everything right — working long hours, raising families, or serving their country. While on active duty in the U.S. Army, he watched countless Soldiers with discipline, loyalty, and heart get overlooked simply because they didn’t have a degree.
But it didn’t stop there. Tayy realized that there were countless hungry, hardworking civilians in the same position — people with talent, ambition, and drive who couldn’t move forward simply because they were missing one thing: a piece of paper.
So he built a way out.
Using the same grit that carried him through the military, Tayy discovered how to turn experience, prior credits, and affordable online learning into a real, accredited degree — fast. What started as a personal mission became DegreeDash, a movement that helps everyday people reclaim their time, save money, and finally finish what they started.
